Who is Eligible?
Businesses in these 3 hard-hit sectors can claim further cash grants of £10,000 or £25,000 per property. Eligibility is based on the rateable value of the buildings + the Rate payers must have been on the billing authority’s records on 11/03/20
What is it?
A one-off Grant of £10,000 or £25,000 is being made by the Local Authority on behalf of the Central Government for all such eligible Businesses
Tell me more…
For Rateable values up to & including £15,000 = Grant of £10,000
For Rateable values of £15,001 to under £51,000 = Grant of £25,000
Unfortunately, Businesses with a rateable value of £51,000 and over and Businesses which are not ratepayers are not eligible for this grant
Recipients will receive one grant per eligible property. They can’t receive both the Small Business Grant (see earlier Blog) and this RHLG Grant on the same property. Several Anti abuse provisions are in place.
How do I do this?
Rate payers don’t need to do anything; Councils will contact eligible businesses with the relief. However, if you feel you are eligible but haven’t been contacted, please contact your local Council. See earlier Blog for examples of businesses that qualify as RHL

TIP:This is another Grant – not a Loan. Again, the Chancellor is putting cash directly into the hands of businesses in these 3 hard-hit sectors so that they can weather the Covid storm
The above HMRC guidance is accurate at time of publishing, but please note that most of the COVID related reliefs are constantly evolving and liable to change. Please call us or refer to www.Gov.UK for the latest guidance
